About the Site:
The term "lifesgarbage" was coined by the lack of creativity I had when I first conjured up the idea of having a personal website. This was back in the time when I used Tripod's site builder, a time when building a website (but a rather ugly one) was as easy as pressing buttons. I never intended to say that my life was or is "garbage", however. The name really had no relative meaning to me at any point in time; I was just trying to be cool when I wasn't. I'm not even as fond of the name as I once was, but it's pretty much glued to me like ecoli to raw Alberta beef.
I came to appreciate it more after I created the slogan, "Life is good, here's the garbage", which incorperates the idea that my site is the epitome of everything gone wrong in my life. Metaphors are just cool in that way.
Currently, lifesgarbage.com hosts everything relevant to my personal life. I don't plan on changing that dynamic anytime soon. At one point in time I used to own fanlistings, but I closed them down shortly after I ran out of effort to keep them maintained. Now I only run the base of the website, which is the personal half (the one you're looking at), and my writing portfolio, home to every decent piece of fiction that I manage to find time to write.
Layout Archive:
I've featured a wide variety of layouts during the existence of this website, most of which live a life of about a month or so, though I've been prone to let the good ones last a little while longer. Upon the time that I started archiving the layouts, however, I never took the time to consider the fact that they wouldn't appear too well at such a small resolution. Thus, some captures may end up being hard to see.
This archive is really for my well-being, in order to assure myself that I actually moved on from the n00bness of Tripod's Site Builder. (Those layouts are featured in captures one to four. HTML-inspired layouts span from capture five and on.) The archives are listed below by my site's exsistence before the domain, and after divided by years. Click each to view.
+ PRE-DOMAIN -- LAYOUTS 1 - 10
+ LG.COM - YEAR ONE -- LAYOUTS 11 - 17
+ LG.COM - YEAR TWO -- LAYOUTS 18 - 23
+ LG.COM - YEAR THREE -- LAYOUTS 24 - ??
Projects:
+ WRITE. - My writing portfolio, which exploits my nature to write comical, dramatic, and sometimes dirty forms of black comedy and satirical fiction. I've managed to pick myself up a small cult-like fan base from the realms of the Internet with my works of literature. Updates these days are sparse and infrequent, but it has nothing to do with a lack of interest. I just don't have the time.
